QCC Lead Team

One of our Core Values reads, “The church should be led diligently and selflessly by people with leadership gifts.” And according to Romans 12:8, when leaders lead with all diligence, the ministries & giftings in the church are unleashed to reach their maximum potential.

Under the leadership and guidance of our denomination (The Christian & Missionary Alliance) we’ve developed the following structures & programs to allow leaders to serve & grow.

Governing Teams

There are three distinct leadership teams that work together to serve & govern Quest. The “division of labor” between these three teams allows them each to focus on using the specific leadership wiring God has given them.

Each team is a mix of staff & volunteers, called to serve for a designated amount of time: Core Team (2 year term), Management Team (1 year term), Elders (ongoing). Governing team leaders are selected via input from previous governing teams and staff.

Core Team

These are the visionaries. They stay out in front, listening  to God for what’s next for Quest. They dream in the big picture.

Management Team

These are the “nuts and bolts” folks. Armed with spreadsheets and action plans, working out the “how” of ministry initiatives at Quest.

Elders

These are the leading shepherds that care for the spiritual growth and health of Questers.

Lead Team

While the governing teams lead from a global perspective, Quest is a staff-led church, meaning the day-to-day leadership of Quest is handled by the Lead Team – a team of pastors that lead all the staff & departments of the church.

The Lead Team is Pete Hise (Lead Pastor), Sharon Clements (Worship & Arts Pastor), Helen Musick (Transformation Pastor), Justin McCarty (Assistant Pastor), Dave Griffith (Connections Pastor) and Jim Marshall (Kids Pastor).

Accelerate

God has blessed Quest with a thriving leadership culture, which has been fueled primarily by Accelerate – a leadership development & training program created by Lead Pastor Pete Hise. Annually, since 2005, Pete has personally invested a year of focused teaching, coaching & “on the job” training in a group of 25-40 leaders, readying them with biblical foundations & practical leadership principles.

Apprentices
Within the Accelerate program, emerging leaders can be selected as “apprentices” to Accelerators, getting an up close & personal glimpse at what leadership looks like through shadowing & mentoring.

Novices
Recently, a new level of “on the horizon” leaders (novices) have been incorporated into the Accelerate program, meeting several times throughout the year with Accelerators & Apprentices in order to identify & develop their leadership potential.

Applications for all levels of Accelerate are available at designated times throughout the year. Anyone with leadership gifts & a heart to see the church thrive is encouraged to apply.
