Baptism is not something you do in order to become a Christian. In fact, nothing about baptism forgives our sin – only Jesus can do that. Baptism is also not a method for joining a church nor for graduating into a new season of life.
Baptism is your opportunity to go public as a follower of Jesus. It is an outward symbol of an internal transformation accomplished by the Holy Spirit, a response to the work Christ has done in your heart when you accepted His forgiveness and gave your life to Him.
Baptism services are highlights in our church as we hear stories of real people’s life-changing encounters with Jesus. Jesus went first into the waters of baptism and calls us to follow Him by taking this step (Matthew 28:19).
