2017 Short Term Missions Trips

In 2017 the Global Missions Team is providing opportunities for students and adults to reach beyond themselves and impact the world. Trips of varying exposure and intensity will allow you to use the gifts God’s given you and to connect your heart with His.

Quest Trip Levels


  • Connector.

    101 Level

    Local to USA. Relief trips or local missions.

  • Connector.

    201 Level

    Requires passport, possibly immunizations. Under $2,000

  • Connector.

    301 Level

    Requires passport, possibly immunizations. $2,000 or more. May present challenging physical accommodations.

  • Connector.

    401 Level

    Similar to 301 and Christians in the area may face persecution.

Chicago Envision Outreach

Trip Information:

  • Classification: 101 Level –  State-side Trip (ie: Relief Trip or local mission)
  • Where: Chicago, IL
  • Dates: May 28 – June 3
  • Cost: $650
  • Ages: 16 and up, unless accompanied by an adult
  • Team Size: approx. 6-15 people
  • Ministry Sponsor:  Global Ministries
  • Trip Purpose:
    • To serve under resourced and unreached people groups in the inner cities of Chicago
    • Includes evangelism and outreach training sessions
    • Exposure to diverse cultures and learning how to be on mission for Christ in an urban context.
Trip Partnership/Site/Organization Host Information:

  • Envision is an short term outreach ministry of the Christian & Missionary Alliance that has multiple sites in different cities throughout the world. They strive to establish and strengthen communities of faith in urban environments.
  • This is the first time QCC has taken a trip with Envision to Chicago. This is a great opportunity to grow deeper in learning what it means to truly be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need and haven’t heard about the love of Christ.
Team Timeline:

Haiti Center of Hope Development Team

Haiti Demographics:

  • Caribbean Island shared with the Dominican Republic.
  • 10.4 million people in Haiti
  • ICDM has been ongoing for 27 years.  Elementary school has now grown to over 800 students.

  • Where: Bayonnais, Haiti
  • Dates: June 8 – June 17
  • Cost: $1,800
  • Ages: 16 and up
  • Team Size: approx. 10-12 people
  • Ministry Sponsor: Facilities Team
  • Trip Purpose:
    • Finish construction on the Conference Room and install new sound system
    • Invest in students educationally and spiritually
    • Hold a medical clinic at the Center of Hope
Trip Partnership/Site/Organization Host Information:

  • This is a partnership with ICDM and Quest to continue to develop the Center of Hope.  Construction will be completed and a new sound system installed in the much-needed conference center where pastoral retreats and conferences can be held.
  • This will be our 6th trip to this area and are glad to be able to invest in the ministry there.  The elementary school, the church planting efforts, the medical clinic, and general influence in the area all continue to grow.  Our investment will just propel what is already happening there.
  • Great opportunity as a first-time trip for team members.

Uganda Father/Son Construction Retreat

Trip Information:

  • Classification: 301 Level – Requires passport, immunizations, trip cost is $2,000 or more, challenging physical accommodations
  • Where: Uganda, Africa
  • Dates: July 16 – July 30
  • Cost: $3,000
  • Ages: 14 and up
  • Team Size: approx. 10 people
  • Ministry Sponsor:  Global Missions
  • Trip Purpose:
    • Invest spiritually in the next generation of both African and American men to strengthen their lives and the church.
    • Help fathers and male mentors in Africa and America learn how to invest in the next generation
    • Construct a building for a new church plant in Eastern Uganda and increase male involvement in the church in Uganda.
Trip Partnership/Site/Organization Host Information:

  • This is a partnership with the Wesleyan Church of Uganda and Adopt Uganda to develop ministry and church planting efforts in new areas in Eastern Uganda.
  • This will be our 2nd trip to this area and we’re glad to be able to invest in the ministry there.  The Wesleyan Church has developed a school, orphanage, pastoral training center, and church planting efforts in Busia, Uganda that make them an extremely strong partner and investment for mission’s outreach.
  • Great opportunity for fathers to invest in their sons, and mentors to invest in those they are wanting to disciple.

France Missionary Retreat

Paris Demographics:

  • One of the most densely populated cities in the world with a population of 2.5 million
  • Paris continues to receive a high number of immigrants from other nations and is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Europe.
  • 90% of Parisians claim to be Roman Catholic but  most are unaffiliated with a local church.
  • 13% of the population is unemployed

  • Dates: October 22nd – October 29th
  • Cost: Approx $2,500
  • Ages: 18 & up
  • Team Size: 6-10
  • Ministry Sponsor:  Global Missions
  • Trip Purpose:
    • Develop and lead a retreat for C&MA missionaries that are stationed in France
    • This particular Field Forum will include roles for:  worship team, kids workers, teachers, & tech support
    • Host and lead ministry-related breakout sessions for adults and kids for the annual event.  This is the one opportunity for these full time missionaries to come together and share their work and be encouraged to persevere in the midst of their sacrificial callings.
Trip Partnership/Site/Organization Host Information:

  • The Christian & Missionary Alliance, Quest’s denominational affiliate, has international workers stationed throughout the world to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and develop church planting efforts in all cultures and locations.
  • France has become a focus for the C&MA due to its diverse population and post Christian context.  This field of focus employees many missionaries who have dedicated their lives to reaching people far from Christ that are Parisian natives and even more who have relocated there from a vast diversity of countries.
  • This will be our second short term mission trip to France.  But, our first time putting on the Field Forum for the French Team.

India Partnership Exposure Trip

Trip Information:

  • Classification: 401 Level- Requires passport, possible immunizations, trip cost is over $2,000, may present challenging physical accommodations, and Christians in the area may face persecution.
  • Where: Kolkata, West Bengal, India
  • Dates: October 31st – November 10th
  • Cost: $3,400
  • Ages: 18 and up
  • Team Size: 8-15
  • Ministry Sponsor:  Global Missions
  • Trip Purpose:
    • Expose Questers to the work being done in India
    • Invest in and encourage our church planters & key leaders for the year to come.
    • Observe effectiveness of Quest’s partnership
Trip Partnership/Site/Organization Host Information:

  • We will be hosted by our India outreach partners and visit the locations where they are doing  ministry.  This team will bring encouragement and needed training and support to those that have been sacrificially called to help reach West Bengal.
  • This short term team will serve as a great opportunity to celebrate the work being done and the relationships that have been formed over the last eight years.

Jordan Demographics:

  • 1.4 million people of the Jordan population are refugees

  • Jordan is bordered by Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia

  • Where: Mafraq, Jordan
  • Dates: November 9 – November 18

  • Ages: 20 and up
  • Team Size: 6
  • Ministry Sponsor: Global Missions
  • Trip Purpose:
    • Distributing donated materials to refugee families in need
    • Partnering with the C&MA refugee crisis ministries already in place
Trip Partnership/Site/Organization Host Information:

  • We will be partnering with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Missionaries in Jordan to provide resources that refugee families are unable to supply for themselves. By meeting their physical needs, we also hope to get to know these families on an emotional and spiritual level.
  • Relief efforts continue from the refugee crisis in the area.  Volunteer workers are needed to help distribute relief supplies and to pray with families that have been displaced.
